The new PS3 slim is really a drastic change from its previous predecessor. Many had noticed the slim and light finish on this gaming console. The new PS3 Slim is powered by a 45nm version of a cell processor which in turn runs the same as the 60nm processor in the previous PS3’s. The advantage of having this is it is smaller and energy efficient. With that said, the total energy consumption of the said gadget had dropped to 250 watts compared to the former 280 watts.

• Cooling system. With the slimmer version also comes the fainter noise one. Aside from the new heat system also comes a new down cooling fan. This paves way to a quieter hum with regards to the unit. Thus, this will not burst loud noises every time you watch a movie even if you sit just beside it. In addition the blu-ray disc even if subjected to an hour or so emits warm air but not the usual hot atmosphere.It is quite evident that the new PS3 Slim is indeed slimmer as the name implies.
