REVIEW- “Yo Quiero iPhone”

Just when I thought I had seen an app for just about everything, I ran into this app and several of those like it. This app will actually help to teach you Spanish on your iPhone! This is basically a trial version of the full app that is a comprehensive tool to help you learn, or improve your Spanish.

Spanish Tutor is surprisingly easy to use and fun. When you open up this free version you have five categories to choose from. Once you have chosen a category you are given a “study list” button at the top where you can go to view all of the phrases that are going to be used in the current category. Not only can you view the phrases, with their English equivalents, but you can also hear every one of them by touching them.

Once you feel you are ready to be tested you then select one of 4 different kinds of tests: multiple choice, puzzle, write in, and flash card. The great thing about the tests is not only do they track your score, but they keep track of the words and phrases that you are struggling with. At the bottom of the screen where you select the kind of test that you want to take is the “priority” button. When you touch it, it will take you to a screen where you can turn on “Priority Mode” which will basically make the words and phrases that you struggle with more likely to come up in the various exercises.

If you are interested in learning Spanish, or if you just want to sharpen up what you already know, I would highly recommend that you give this program a try. Pretty much any curriculum that you get to learn Spanish is going to cost you more than the $7.99 that the full program costs. And the plus side is that with this app, you get to try a basically full version of it for free!

Sony gave us the PS3 slim version. it is a slimmer and lighter version of the original game console. It gets a 120GB hard drive; this is far better than the 80GB that the previous PS3 had. The console costs $299 and will be on the market in September 2009.

O redesenho dos consoles da linha PlayStation não é novidade: aconteceu com o PSOne, aconteceu com o PS2 e agora está prestes a acontecer com o PlayStation 3, de acordo com recentes rumores.

O site Digital Trends afirmou que os boatos dão conta de que uma versão mais fina do console de nova gerao da empresa, que est磡 sendo chamada de PS3 Slim (referência ao nome da versão mais fina de seu antecessor), pode ser anunciada durante a conveno E3.

Uma fonte interna, contudo, declarou ao site Ars Technica que a edi磧ão slim acontecerá sim, mas é improvável que seja anunciada durante a E3. Em vez disso, a Sony estaria aguardando que o estoque dos aparelhos seja vendido para depois trazer ao mercado a nova versão, o que supostamente deve acontecer entre agosto e setembro de 2009.

A fonte também comentou que o novo modelo do PSP sem entrada para UMD , chamado de PSP -Go, é real e provavelmente será mostrado na conferência da empresa durante a E3.

A chegada do PSP -Go não significaria a derrocada da versão com discos UMD , sendo assim a empresa é capaz de seguir os dois caminhos (jogos vendidos em discos e via download) por um tempo.
